Finally asked Aimee from DOA to purchase some for me from Volks LA store. Glad that someone live close to LA store so I can get stuffs. =^^=

Send him off to Gina Kim from DOA for Faceup. Very reasonable price ($27) and love her natural cute faceup style.

I have been painting Chiwoo 5-6 times…. everytime I re-looked at the result, I just said “Yuck” “too dark color” “too odd eyebrows” “lip color not right” “not good lower eyelashes”….etc etc etc etc. I deeply regretted not getting the Luts default faceup when ordering him…. from now on,…..every doll that I will purchase, I will get the default makeup.

Not that I don’t want to paint BJD, but, I just always think my own faceups are yucky or not good enough. (that’s one reason I keep selling my own painted dolls :P) Somehow I keep repainting and repainting and repainting the dolls that I myself painted. So, I try not to look at my own painted dolls too long…. or otherwise, they will be repainted again. XD

UNDER CONTROL

I am proud to say that I get myself under control now.

I am making dolls SLOWLY, taking more time to think about their looks, their outfits (if any) and their names. Why rush? I have been pushing myself a little bit too much last year (before Christmas) trying to sell two to three dolls in one week. Now, no more than one doll every week, and sometime more than one week. It’s about the right timing for me.

I now am not under much pressure about trips to Post office, and packing, and naming, and painting dolls. Just do it SLOWLY and enjoying the whole process of making dolls.

Hobby Link has lower price on the bodies, so I guess I will wait… 3 months?^_^

Anyway…not selling dolls so not in a hurry.

Have been very busy last two weeks – mother-in-law coming to visit and husband’s aunt also came to live for a few days.

Was very upset because of the Juri head.

I placed an order on Luts, buying $160 more to get this head, hoping to sell to recover some expenses. Then some members in DOA forum started a thread the same day I posted the head for sale saying….. it’s a gift…..Luts had mentioned it wants people to enjoy the head and not to sell……blah blah blah…… people should just GIVE the head to someone else if they don’t want it…….It’s morally wrong to sell the head because it’s a gift……blah blah blah…those heads were sold for such a high price and people received it for free ….blah blah blah…..

Then someone gave an $200 offer and I quickly ended the sale. The buyer is very nice, and she loves my 1/6 dolls !! =^^= I am happy that I sold the head and the wig for $200. The price can go up a little bit more, but I am not that greedy anyway. I know I am not a scalper and I can face myself in this aspect. But I was very upset for a few days and finally got some courage to post again in the forum. I guess there were some very young students there who just haven’t grown up yet. A lot of DOA members are on my side and support anyone who wants to sell the Juri head. But still… quite upseting and hurting…..

I don’t think I would ever ever want to sell anything in the forum again. I will just sell on ebay.

Planning to sell the Unoa once I received her and do faceups on her. She will definitely go on Ebay.
